Lilium humboldtii is originally from California and the foothills of the Sierras and is named after Baron Alexander von Humboldt a German photographer and explorer.
Care
Easy to grow. Lilium humboldtii is best planted in a sunny or partial sunny position, it requires a moist well drained soil. It is regarded as hardy to Zone 7a.
Propagation is by division of established clumps and also possible from seed.
