You do not grow it for the the taste of the fruit, it is used for the quality of its small red berries that transform sour tasting fruits to sweet tasting on the palate.
It is said that it also can cause medical problems so consult with your medical specialist before eating.
How to Grow Miracle Fruit
Originally from West Africa the bush or plant will reach between 6ft and 15 ft depending on conditions, in a container growth will be restricted.
This is a slow growing tree that will fruit after 2 -3 years.
- Outdoors this is a USDA Zone 10 – 11 plant. You could grow these plants indoors over winter if you have adequate lighting. Then move then outside in the summer.

Varieties
As far as we know no named cultivars are available except for Hirsutus, and as the name suggests the foliage is hairy. Trees are mostly grown from seed, although you can propagate then from cuttings, the fruit is more of a novelty than anything else.
