Euphorbia ‘Diamond Frost’ is a new cultivar developed from Euphorbia hypericifolia ‘inneuphe’. A long flowering euphorbia with small white flowers from spring through to autumn.
Euphorbia ‘Diamond Frost is regarded as Winter hardy to USDA Zone 10, however it is widely grown in containers, and as an annual in colder zones. Grown for the masses of frosty white bracts it is a favurite in hanging baskets as well as in the garden.
In the right position it can flower from spring through to fall, making it one of the most useful easy care foliage plants you can buy.
In the garden use it for underplanting taller plants such as roses.
How to Grow Euphorbia ‘Diamond Frost’
Euphorbia ‘Diamond Frost’ works well as a container plant or in a hanging basket. A well drained potting mix is essential.
As a hanging basket plant ‘Diamond Frost’ has the advantage of being heat and drought tolerant, so constant watering is not required.
As with all Euphorbias make sure that you wear gardening gloves as the milky sap is a skin irritant. Avoid all skin and eye contact with the the white sap as is quite poisonous, caustic and generally dangerous, wear gloves when handling euphorbia and was hands thoroughly after.
